| PARADE SUCCESS!
More than 400,000 people turned up to line the streets of London for The New Year’s Day Parade – and an estimated 200m watched television pictures beamed around the globe.
The parade, hailed as the most successful in it’s eighteen year history, hit the headlines in countries as far a field as Australia, Canada, Pakistan and Borneo.
Among the 7,500 participants were London’s finest ‘unsung heroes and heroines’, that were being honoured by their local communities.
Bob Bone, Executive Director of The New Year’s Day Parade said: “What a wonderful way to start the year. We were delighted to ensure that such worthy winners had an appropriate platform to be honoured from.”
