YOUNGSTERS FLY IN FOR NEW YEAR’S FUN

More than 7,500 performers, from a dozen nations, are heading to London to participate in one of the World’s great traditional holiday events – The New Year’s Day Parade.

The performers, invited by The Lord Mayor of Westminster, are set to give London a lift with a free, family, spectacular.

Many youngsters – around 3,000 – are jetting in from the USA with High School Bands, Choirs, Orchestras – and the biggest group of cheerleaders ever to grace these shores

Why not meet up with some of them when Dazzle the Dalmatian puts London on ‘paws’ next Tuesday (December 30th).

The 60 ft high cartoon balloon will be taken for a walk in Trafalgar Square – to get him fit for The New Year’s Day Parade, one of the World’s great street spectaculars.

Dazzle who needs more than 5,000 cubic feet of helium to give him a lift, will be one of half a dozen of his mates appearing in the parade on January 1st.

Keeping him away from the giant Christmas tree will be dozens of youngsters from Walker Valley High School in Tennessee who are among the 7,500 performers from a dozen nations taking part.

INTERVIEWS WITH PERFORMERS, ORGANISERS AND THE DOG HIMSELF WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM 10.30 AM, TUESDAY DECEMBER 30TH, TRAFALGAR SQ.
